Environment pollution means the contamination of the components of the environment which is harmful to our health and livelihood. Our environment is polluted in many ways. Air is polluted by smoke of vehicles and industries. The smoke from factories and motor vehicles contains harmful substances like carbon-monoxide and sulfur-dioxide. These hamper the cleanliness of the air. This polluted air causes various diseases to human beings such as pneumonia, bronchitis etc. Water pollution is now a great problem. Water is polluted by toxic waste of mills and factories which contains poisonous substances. These wastes are destroying the aquatic life. When people drink this type of water or take a bath in the polluted water, they are attacked by stomach and skin diseases. Vehicle horns and use of loud speakers in many occasions cause sound pollution. We can prevent air pollution by planting trees in large number. Because trees take in all the poisonous gases and produce oxygen. Water pollution can be prevented by proper waste management. Government should take some proper steps. We also should aware about environment pollution to lead healthy and happy life.
