Corona virus is a type of virus that affects the respiratory tract of humans, mammals, and birds. The virus has become one of the world’s worst nightmares. The current outbreak of the novel Corona virus was first discovered in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019. The virus has been named cov.19! Experts have confirmed that the virus spreads rapidly from person to person and infects a person’s lungs through a respiratory system. Symptoms of corona infection vary from person to person, depending on their size and type of infection. Symptoms of corona infection in a person include cough, fever, throat infection, kidney failure and respiratory problems. There is no specific treatment for the virus. There is no vaccine that can make people free from Corona virus. Patients are usually given care that supports their symptoms. Patients who are hospitalized may need respiratory support. To prevent this infectious disease, we should wash our hands regularly, wear a face mask before going outside, avoid crowded areas and strongly touch anyone who shows signs of Corona virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a global emergency as the virus has already spread to many countries. There are patients in Bangladesh already infected with Corona virus. We must therefore be very careful about corona infection. Therefore, drastic measures are needed to eradicate the disease as we know that - Prevention is better than cure.
